Allyson Marie Gross Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Allyson Marie Gross Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to the memory of Allyson (Ally) Gross, who died at the age of 24 from a very rare heart condition. She attended St. Michael and Bishop Watterson, and also graduated from the Scripps School of Journalism, Ohio University. Ally’s passion was writing. She loved to write and she also excelled at it, winning many awards in junior high, high school and college. She was busy pursuing her career in journalism at the time of her death.
The purpose of Ally’s scholarship is to encourage young students to excel in writing, and to encourage and recognize outstanding achievement in writing. This fund provides tuition assistance in honor and memory of Allyson Marie Gross by rewarding and recognizing the exemplary writing ability of an 8th grade St. Michael student who will be attending Bishop Watterson High School.
